Hello again! I was out of town for 10 days but I’m back and….I received the Posture Control Insoles from Morton’s Foot!!!! (click image to enlarge)
This is the envelope. It contains a plastic bag with a brochure and the insoles, another brochure and the invoice. Here are the 2 brochures with some facts about Rothbart’s foot, posture and the insoles. It’s most of the important information from Morton’s Foot website, condensed:
And the insoles:
Cool!! You can clearly see the wedge on the back of the insole. The front is covered with a suede-like or velvet-like fabric..looks comfy. And it’s good they are black and don’t stand out. There is also a paper with a foot size chart that helps you cut the insole to fit your shoes. My insoles fit shoe sizes 7-13 US. I’m size 12 but looks like the insoles (size 13) fit my shoes perfectly without any adjustment. I put them in a pair of barely worn shoes to make sure there is no wear that interferes.
Here it goes. I put the shoes on. I can feel the raised wedge. It’s not bad at all. I walked around the house a little. Not a problem. No pain or discomfort yet. I actually feel I have a bit better balance. I did a couple of squats and my knees stay in-line with my feet; that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be. Since it’s late I’m not going out but I’ll keep wearing them in the house this evening. So far so good.
Everything you want to know about Flat Feet. That's right. I'll try to post as much information on Flat Feet as possible: Shoes for Flat Feet, Exercises for Flat Feet, Flat Feet and Running, Flat Feet Pain and much much more. I started this blog to share with you my experience with an innovative orthotic for Flat Feet: The Posture Control Insoles. I really like the science behind them and decided to test them and post the results here - they turned out to be great. You can still find my posts on the Posture Control Insoles here, but in the same time I'll try to create the ultimate resource for your Flat Feet concerns. I hope it will turn out Ok. Any suggestions are more than welcome.

This is old so I hope you are still checking…
I was wondering how the insoles worked out for you. I have sprained my right MCL twice while snowboarding, and the second time I really started researching why. I discovered I overpronate quite a bit, and that this was causing my knee to rotate inwards. When my knee was exposed to the pressure of snowboarding, it pulled the MCL too hard and sprained it.
I’ve been experimenting with making some shapes out of cork, which I put under my 1st metatarsal and big toe, and the results so far are promising. I don’t have a lot of money so I was just wondering how your insoles worked out for you before I buy a set.

Hey, the insoles worked very well for me. I used to over-pronate, but only when standing relaxed. When walking I over-supinated (walked predominantly on the outer edge of my feet)and did have ankle and knee problems because of this. Overall the insoles have strengthened my foot muscles and I don’t have knee or ankle problems anymore. My overall balance has also improved. Anyway, There are a few posts here about how the insoles worked for me. Good luck!
